The 30 megawatt solar power plant in Jajarm is being constructed by a foreign investor and the Mellat Agency. The first phase of the power plant was arranged with the presence of the Minister of Energy in Jajarm, and after the construction, the Ministry of Electricity will purchase the supplied electricity in a guaranteed manner. The percentage of equipment used in this plant includes a panel and inverter manufacturing abroad and 60% of equipment including cable, hot-dip galvanized steel structures and post construction equipment, domestic production.
The number of forces needed for the construction and commissioning of the Jajarm Solar Power Plant is 385, while 41 will be operational at the operational stage. The 30 MW solar power plant will be operational with a € 37.5 billion investment funded by the Mellat Agency. Other parts of this power plant will be constructed at Qasim Khan Esfarayn with a capacity of 120 MW, a 10 MW barn, and a 60 MW Shirvan.

The first meeting of policy making council of the second International Renewable Energy Conference was held.
Following the International Iran Renewable Energy Conference (IREC) which was held in December 2016 by Iran Renewable Energy Association (IrREA) and due to the world-wide welcome, the permanent secretariat of IREC has been formed.
