According to the public relations and international affairs of SATBA, the launching of 520 solar systms each with the capacity of 5 kW was held in 125 deprived areas of Kerman Province. Governor of Kerman province, the chairman of the Imam Khomeini Relief Committee, Member of Parliament in Sirjan and Bardsir cities, representatives from electricity distribution companies of south and north of Kerman and representatives of SATBA attended this event on June 13th 2019.
The director of Imam Khomeini Relief Foundation in Kerman Province at the beginning of the opening ceremony stated: “The development of roof solar power plants and their required infrastructures has provided employment and also stable income for the residents.”
Then the head of Mahtab Sazane Iranian Charity as the project implementer of roof solar power stations talked about the achievements of this project and added that this power station group was operated with the collaboration of Imam Khomeini relief Foundation, renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Organization (SATBA), electricity distribution companies of south and north of Kerman, in 90 days and this collaboration will continue for building more than 1000 other sections.
Then Zaferanchizadeh, Deputy of Non-governmental Sector Development of SATBA, noted that Imam Khomeini Relief Foundation boomed this industry by developing solar rooftops added that an agreement is signed with the Land Affairs Organization of Iran which will provide the possibility of building small power stations without any agricultural land use change.
Fattahi, the head of Imam Khomeini Relief Foundation, talked about 520 solar rooftops and considered it as one of the most valuable collaborations of private sections and that foundation because this has provided employment and self-sufficiency for the residents of Kerman’s poor regions and stated that 600 other power plants will be built in North of Kerman in future.
He said that despite 300 sunny days in Kerman in year, using this capacity and development of solar rooftops will change the climate threats including famine and water resource shortage into an opportunity for preventing immigration of the villagers to the towns, increasing their livelihood and providing stable income for their families.
At the end he mentioned that constructing the mentioned rooftops will create 550 direct and indirect jobs.

the continuous cooperation of organizations and related company in Minister of Energy subset is of importance for sustainable development of renewable energy
Dr. Arakanian in a meeting held in SATBA organization emphasized that the policies of renewable energy development in Iran must be in a way that moreover to cooperation of all the trustees of the related subject in Ministry of Energy (including SATBA, mother company Tavanir, Iran’s grid Management Company etc.), renewable energy development grows and develops all the time and provide solutions to this end.
Minister of Energy considered the cooperation of these organizations and companies as an important parameter and emphasized that this cooperation must be formed with the target of fulfillment of macro-politics of Ministry of Energy. According to the public relations and international affairs of SATBA, Dr. Sadeghzadeh provided a report from the activities of SATBA first and then he proposed a resolution with the subject of amending some of the instructions in renewable power purchase and export of renewable electricity and its functional solutions.
Then Mr. Haeri stated that the deputy of Power and Energy of ministry of Energy is ready to provide a cooperation between organizations and related companies with the aim of development of renewable power plants and also agrees with the proposed resolutions and suggested that in order to operate the resolution of exporting renewable power, with the cooperation of Iran’s Power Grid Management the potentials and priorities of the possibility of exporting renewable energy to the neighboring countries of Iran need to be determined. At the end of this meeting, Minister of Energy visited the offices of SATBA and talked to the employees of the organization.

The Public Relations Office of SATBA reported: the first 5 megawatt solar power plant of Khorasan Razavi province, located in Ali Abad village and Khaf city, with the investment of 350 billion Rials by the private sector investor in a land with 11 Hectare area is operated and ready to operate. According to the reports: All the phases of designing, implementing and operating of this solar power plant has been done by Iranian engineers and the power plant can annually provide the national electricity grid with more than 10 GWh electricity.
This report also notes that the blessing of wind and sun at Khaf region has made it a special place in renewable energy industry in the west of Asia. The wind passageway of Nashtifan and the 120 day historical winds of Sistan Province and the sun radiation with more than 1900 kWh on m2 has changed Khaf into a special occasion for investment on solar and wind power plants and also exportation of renewable electricity to the Eastern neighbor countries of Iran.
According to the report, Khorasan Razavi province has more than 760 solar rooftops in one of the leading provinces for the development of the renewable industry in the country.

In the opening ceremony of 4th Seminar of solar power plants, the Deputy Minister of Energy and head of SATBA mentioned that Iran has got oil and gas resources and also the potential of using renewable energy especially solar energy and stated that if using renewable energy in power production develops, Iran will be able to use different petrochemical products with high value both for domestic use and exportation instead of burning the existing valuable fossil resources in order to produce electricity.
He continued noting that more than 70 Megawatt solar power plants and more than 3200 solar rooftops units exist already in Iran and all of these developments have started four years later with the cooperation and investment of non-governmental sector and people via legal processes (that is, the tariffs are estimated according to the type of technology and power plant capacity), all the applicants with different economic levels can cooperate in building renewable energy power plants. Dr. Sadeghzadeh ended his statement focusing on the announcement of tariffs of export of renewable electricity in 2018 and stated that the considerable potential of renewable energy in Iran provided the export of the country with special opportunities for the private section. He also emphasized that according to more than 30000 Megawatt capacity in renewable electricity exportation in Iran, this must be completely done by private sector. The government only plays its role as a supporter and facilitator.

In line with the development of Iranian renewable power plants, the first 7 Megawatt solar power plant of Zanjan province in Abhar, is constructed in a 14 hectare land with private sector investment at the cost of almost 6.5 million euros in 4 months and got connected to the national electricity grid.
The public relations office of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Organization (SATBA) reported: with the beginning of this power plant, Zanjan province became the 27th province of Iran where a solar energy power plant in megawatt is built. According to the fact that the most electricity production in solar power plants is in summer and in peak energy consumption period, this power plant with annual production of more than 11 GWh energy both helps supplying this electricity in peak hours and is enabled to reduce using fossil fuels to 3.95 Million cubic meters.
Moreover, in the process of producing Iran’s electricity, it can annually reduce 3 million liters of water and avoids emission of 9598 tons of greenhouse gas. The investor of this power plant reported that the rate of jobs during constructing this power plant has created 100 and 500 direct and indirect jobs respectively. More than 10 people will start working after operation of the power plant. This report also adds that: moreover to this 7 Megawatt solar power plant in Abhar, 42 domestic solar units are being operational in Zanjan province.
