The launch of one the largest solar rooftops in Kerman Province

According to the public relations and international affairs of SATBA, the launching of 520 solar systms each with the capacity of 5 kW was held in 125 deprived areas of Kerman Province. Governor of Kerman province, the chairman of the Imam Khomeini Relief Committee, Member of Parliament in Sirjan and Bardsir cities, representatives from electricity distribution companies of south and north of Kerman and representatives of SATBA attended this event on June 13th 2019.
The director of Imam Khomeini Relief Foundation in Kerman Province at the beginning of the opening ceremony stated: “The development of roof solar power plants and their required infrastructures has provided employment and also stable income for the residents.”
Then the head of Mahtab Sazane Iranian Charity as the project implementer of roof solar power stations talked about the achievements of this project and added that this power station group was operated with the collaboration of Imam Khomeini relief Foundation, renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Organization (SATBA), electricity distribution companies of south and north of Kerman, in 90 days and this collaboration will continue for building more than 1000 other sections.
Then Zaferanchizadeh, Deputy of Non-governmental Sector Development of SATBA, noted that Imam Khomeini Relief Foundation boomed this industry by developing solar rooftops added that an agreement is signed with the Land Affairs Organization of Iran which will provide the possibility of building small power stations without any agricultural land use change.
Fattahi, the head of Imam Khomeini Relief Foundation, talked about 520 solar rooftops and considered it as one of the most valuable collaborations of private sections and that foundation because this has provided employment and self-sufficiency for the residents of Kerman’s poor regions and stated that 600 other power plants will be built in North of Kerman in future.
He said that despite 300 sunny days in Kerman in year, using this capacity and development of solar rooftops will change the climate threats including famine and water resource shortage into an opportunity for preventing immigration of the villagers to the towns, increasing their livelihood and providing stable income for their families.
At the end he mentioned that constructing the mentioned rooftops will create 550 direct and indirect jobs.
